Selection of Certificate Class
TC TrustCenter offers certificates of different classes. The class is defined by the type of validation of the certificate applications. The higher the certificate class, the higher the level of trust based on the vetting.
The vetting for a Class 2 certificate requires a copy of a document, which proves the existence of the organisation as well as a copy of an identity card or passport incl. photo and signature.
For a Class 3 certificate you have to provide an original document or notarized copy, which proves the existence of the organisation. Furthermore a personal identification by a Trusted Agent, Notary Public or Governmental Entity is required. A personal identification at TC Trustcenter is possible too.
